What results can I expect from light therapy?

How soon will I see results?
Light therapy affects everyone differently, so the timeframe to see results can be individualistic. Some results can be seen in as little as a few days to weeks to months. The longer and more consistent you are at using it, the better results you will see.

How many times per week?
If possible, we recommend using your (R/NIR) device every day. Being consistent is very important. There is a compounding effect with light therapy that builds up with consistent use.

What is the standard treatment time?
Treatment times can vary depending on individuals. We recommend 10-20 minutes per day. Beginners should begin slowly with only a few minutes per day and build over the course of 3-4 weeks. It's also recommended to remove garments to expose bare skin to the light. Remember to keep a distance of 6-12 inches from treatment area and do not stare directly into the lights.

Can I get too much Red / NIR Light Therapy?
Yes. With light therapy, there is something called the biphasic response. Think of this as an upside/down U curve. Too little exposure to the light, and you will not see results. But too much exposure to the light and the results diminish. You will need to test out the time best for you, based on the time frame we mentioned of 10-20 mins. Some people use less than 10 mins per day because they found that it works best for them.
